RUSIZI: Head teachers embark on environmental protection
Secondary school head teachers in Rusizi district and Kigali town embarked on a study tour to CIMERWA Cement factory courtesy of UNESCO in a bid to conserve the environment.
The tour was organized by Rwanda National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It involved head teachers in environment protection.
This is because when head teachers learn about environment conservation, they pass the information to the school community.
Callixte Kalisa, in charge of education and sports in UNESCO says that the tour was meant to enable heads of secondary schools explain the importance of conserving the environment.
On the side of head teachers, they confirm to have fetched a lot of knowledge from the tour and will share the information to the students.
