Nyamasheke: Youths called on to embrace unity and peace

More than 1000 youths attending the Urugerero civic education program, in Nyamasheke district were called on to embrace unity and Peace. Urugerero started officially on December 3, 2013 in Kirimbi sector, Nyamasheke district.

1879 youth out of Secondary School section are in this Urugerero program

“We hope to see you as outstanding united Rwandan youths, with values,” Mayor Jean Baptiste Habyarimana told the youths at the Urugerero launch.

The Mayor further called on the youths to embrace “Ndi Umunyarwanda” and other constructive initiatives with the aim of uniting Rwanda.

Youths are undergoing the Urugerero trainings which will end in 3 weeks and feature lessons ranging from patriotism, culture and hands-on life skills.

Urugerero is a voluntary national service program that educates Rwandans on patriotism, family values as well as culture.
