Rwanda : Rhenanie Palatinat partnership with Ruhango district, A remarkable achievement
The past 30 years of partnership with the Rhenanie Palatinat Province of Germany and Ruhango district, the district administration say that they have achieved many projects thanks to this partnership.
Two district in Rhenanie Palatinat Province called Landau and Mending districts have a very special relationship with Ruhango district though this province has been having a good relationship with Rwanda as a country. These districts were recently visited by Francois Xavier Mbabazi the mayor of Ruhango district.
Epimaque Twagirimana the vice mayor for finance and economic development says that they have achieved many projects funded by this partnership and especially building classrooms in the 5 sectors of Ruhango district.
Jerome Nshimyumuremyi the director of Ruhango Secondary School (ESR) says that their relationship with this province promoted education in the district.
“They have built for the school a dining hall that was worth Rwf70 million, they have solved our shortage of water problem by making a water tank for us, they gave us 15 computers and many others.” He explained.
Roger Lewentz the minister for governance, sports and infrastructure in Rhenanie Palatinat Province who came with a delegation of 30 people to Rwanda to visit the projects they fund; appreciated the way their aid is used and promised Ruhango district of their full support.
