Rulindo: District Mayor donates Rabbits to Pupils

Pupils from poor families studying in Saint Jean Baptiste de la Sale School in Kisaro sector in Rulindo district were given rabbits to develop them and be able to pay for Mutuelle de santé health insurance by the mayor of the district.
This school which feeds its students since most of them are poor and cannot afford having lunch to encourage their education and to give tem strength in case their miss meals in their homes.
“We receive pupils from poor families only, we visit them and evaluate their families’ social welfare, we feed them without discriminating and encourage them to study harder and develop them” says Pierre Celestin Munyanziza a teacher at this school. “Seeing them develop and become good scholars is our absolute satisfaction.”
The school administration does not only provide food for its pupils but supports them in any possible way for students to have healthy, normal life.
The mayor of Rulindo district Justus Kangwagye gave out about 50 rabbits to pupils that will aid to get Mutuelle de santé health insurance or provide to them any basic need.
“I am giving out these rabbits for the pupils to help them get health insurance without asking their parents and they will be able to get medical services in case they fall sick.”
The mayor told these pupils that even if their parents are poor, they have to live well and study like other children though they have to study harder and get their families out of poverty.
