Some parents in Ngoma district have been called on to take care of their children than entirely leaving them to learn bad behavior from television shows and house servants.

This follows after some parents have had badly behaved children when they are always away on work without time for them.

Sensitizing parents on instilling behavior in their children, the mayor of Ngoma district Aphrodise Nambaje highlighted that parents nowadays have no little time for children but busy looking for money.

“Children see what actors and singers do on television as the current style and practice it because the parent isn’t around to prove otherwise,” he notes.

The mayor gives an example of children that drowned and others stung by bees in Ngoma district because nobody attended to them.

On the other side, parents admit some children learn things from servants and watching television by themselves when they are away to work.

“Parenting is no longer easy. You might be a respected person in society and your son or daughter does shameful things. We admit our absence near our children but again the standard of living forces us to be away for long,” one parent lamented.

Research made by different experts show that it’s not good for children to watch dangerous films as they might want to practice.
