Vision jeunesse nouvelle, a youth centre in Rubavu district has started grooming future youth leaders that strive for peace through inter-school competitions with peace building slogans.

Emmanuel Dusabimana explained that youth are encouraged to make research as a way of instilling leadership responsibilities in them at a tender age.

Safina Emmanuel Mwemezi, a student at Nyundo seminary and who won peace talks competition reveals that, competitions made him read 33 books and win peace talks competitions three times.

What amuses me is that my views on peace keeping are listened to, which gives me hope for the good future, narrates Mwemezi

Rubavu district authorities highlight that the youth centre helps youth to prepare their part in the government’s leadership and to know the responsibilities the country looks up to from them.

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle management says that as more competitions are organized, more youth invest their time in research to win the competitions.

Competition winners first research on peace building ideas from different books basing on the ideas of the prominent men in the world.
