Pupils and secondary school students in Kigabiro sector in Rwamagana district have revealed that they promised school authorities to sensitize parents and guardians into contributing for Agaciro development fund.
This followed after children found out that money will be used in bigger projects to make the future brighter when them, as students desire to grow up in a modernized developed country.
The Agaciro Development Fund is a solidarity fund that has been initiated by Rwandans to improve the level of financial autonomy of Rwanda as a nation, financed by Rwandans themselves.
Since Agaciro Development Fund started, Rwandans young and old are working hard to contribute what they can afford to be valuable in a country with developed sectors. For example some rural Rwandans give out chicken, goats, hand-made products and small money as their contribution.
A primary four pupil from Rwamagana primary school A presented other pupils and gave out their close to Rwf120000 as their contribution in Agaciro development fund.
Charles Nkuranga, a senior two student at Groupe Scolaire Rwamagana Protestant, was sent by his 506 fellow students to represent them with the contribution of Rwf69000 into Agaciro development fund.
Another student was sent by fellow students with the message, “We request our dear parents and guardians to sacrifice like how you always plan the best for us. Contribute enough so that the government builds good higher institutions of learning for us.”
Marc Rushimisha, executive secretary of Kigabiro sector encouraging residents to follow the example of school children and pass the information about Agaciro Development Fund to other residents.
Marc Rushimisha added that if the school children’s message reaches the parents and they follow it, it will make Kigabiro sector residents understand the importance of contributing enough money to the Agaciro development fund aimed at developing different sectors of the Rwanda.
